That may be true but presenters have included Bob Hope (comedian), Jack Benny (comedian), Danny Kaye (comedy actor), Jerry Lewis (comedian), Johnny Carson (comedian, presenter), Chevy Chase (comedian), Billy Crystal (comedian), Whoopi Goldberg (comedian), David Letterman (comedian), Steve Martin (comedian), Chris Rock (comedian), Jon Stewart (comedian), Ellen DeGeneres (comedian).
So maybe they're doing the right thing by getting an non-comedian to do it. -
