Guess I'm going to be doing lots of reviewing of the year...

Might as well start with music.

In no particular order:

1) Rosie Thomas- a very Rosie Christmas.

2) Martha Wainwright- I know you're married but I have feelings too.

3) Aqualung- Words and Music

4) Portishead- Third

5) Jim Moray- Low Culture

6) Fleet Foxes- Fleet Foxes

7) Sigur Ros- Med Sud I Eyrum Vid Spilum Endalaust

8) Death Cab For Cutie- Narrow Stairs

9) Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds- Dig!!! Lazarus Dig!!!

And my album of the year:

10) Elbow- The Seldom seen kid.

Is that Jim Moray album any good? I love Sweet England.. the second album did nothing for me at all... everyone else seems to feel the same except that men seem to love "Barbara Allen"..

I heard the Sea Shanty song and that didn't really do it either..

Did you see him play St Martin's all gothic and candlelit?

  and is it just me or does Death Cab for Cutie sound like an awful Evening Mail headline, except with one too many pronouns..

  Jim admits that the second album was a difficult one.
  
  I must confess, I adore Barbara Allen too. Not sure what kind of guy that makes me?
  
  The sea shanty one is great that it's an XTC cover of a terrible 80's song and makes it sound like it came from the 1660's. It's a bit of an in joke or something...
  
  I didn't see him play St Martin's. Wish I had! I saw him play the MAC during the sounds in the round festival. He was very sweet after as I was a bit of a clingy fan. He signed my ticket and liked that I was wearing a sweet England t shirt.
