Lots of pundits are saying "The only thing that would derail this..."
and then add something along the lines of "domestic terrorism" or "national security". Because gun toting nutjobs need suggestions of what to do in the next couple of weeks.
I think Bin Laden might release a little home video close to the election date. Just, you know, keep his finger in, let the world know he cares.
It's weird thinking that he helped Bush steal the last election. Not often that you get to think that Bush and Bin Laden were working towards the same kind of goal.
I'm hoping that nothing does happen but as we've seen over the last 18 months... expect the unexpected.

You mean , because he'd 'valiantly' sent troops into Iraq and Afghanistan following the 9/11 atrocity , a year after the 2000 election ?

And terrorist attacks tend to seem to happen when we're least expecting them .
Obama should win unless a lot of white voters change their minds or were lying to opinion pollsters , or unless there's damaging 'dirt' on him that his opponents are timing to unleash in the last few days of the campaign .
I heard last night that according to the predictions of UK 'spread betting' firms Obama almost might as well have won already .
I would not bet on the result , too unpredictable , but fascinating nonetheless .
