I'm not one to be up on what's going on in the church of England. (There may not be much of a Church of England left after the gay debate and women bishops debate rip the church into several smaller factions)

It's nice to see the new bishop of Aston has been revealed. Not sure what happened to the last one... maybe he died? Yeah, he passed away in 2007.

His name is Reverend Andrew Watson. Is he the same guy who wrote the Fourfold Leadership of Jesus? I'm guessing that's a book where the author looks at Jesus' ministry through the four gospels, neatly ignoring any of the gnostic or gospels that didn't make it into the canon of scripture.

It's always a hope that someone new will bring a breath of fresh air to an establishment. We'll see how he settles in. Maybe he'll start a blog? There's a number of really nice Church of England blogs out there. My favourite will always be Maggi Dawn. Her blog is here: http://tiny.cc/maggi
