It sometimes feels like there's a huge focus on various types of crime in London but everywhere else doesn't get that kind of focus.

Over the weekend a 29 year old man was stabbed to death outside a city nightclub. Police are launching an inquiry.

A 25-year-old was stabbed in the chest, stomach and face after being involved in an altercation in Wolverhampton.

The Police were called to the Irish Centre in High Street, Digbeth, on Sunday evening after reports of shots being fired. A man was shot in the stomach and remains in hospital where his condition is described as stable. A woman was shot in the arm.

And a man thought to have been lying in a road has died after being hit by a car on the Darlaston Road, Walsall.

No humour, no comedy, no cutting political point. Just a sigh and a slightly worried look. I don't have any easy solution, I also don't want to throw my hands in the air and bewail rising crime and look for someone to blame.
