I know that web 2.0 has brought lots of really useful user generated content and how it's meant that everyone can be a journalist and everyone has better access to information and the universe.

But there are times when I think it crosses that line and feel someone should step in.

Ladies and Gentlemen of the jury I present you, Chris Crocker.

Some of you will know him from his infamous "Leave Britney Alone" video.

But there's video after video of him... acting out.

I guess under more normal circumstances he'd just be a small town oddity who'd get bullied a bit but wouldn't cause himself much harm.

He's quickly becoming a global village idiot. Someone who rambles about and acts out in such bizarre and extreme ways that it becomes so compelling you almost can't tear yourself away.

I was going to post clips of his videos but I think it's unfair to exploit someone who's got mental health issues for my own amusement. And it's not amusing in the slightest. I fear for his sanity and feel someone should step in. Where's his parents? Where's his close friends to say "You know, Chris, maybe posting that isn't such a great idea?".

I'd tell him myself but I think he would think I was just being a "hater" when actually I'm really concerned for him.
