You may notice that today my blog appears to be misbehaving.

It is and it isn't.

You'll notice when you visit today that there's words blocked with Chinese characters. This gives you a brief insight into the experience of Chienese citizens/netizens when they go looking for things on the internet.

There's just ten days till the Beijing Olympics and today, Amnesty International is co-ordinating a global, online day of protest against Internet censorship in China. They're aiming with the help of bloggers, website owners and ordinary people to 'occupy' as many online spaces as possible to demonstrate our solidarity with netizens in China and to call on major Internet companies to end their complicity in violating the freedom of expression and information of Chinese citizens.

The Olympics were meant to hold China accountable, were meant to improve human rights in China. They haven't.
